ABOUT MONTEIRO NAMIBIA

Monteiro Self-Catering and Camping offers visitors the best of both worlds. It is situated 10,6 km south of Windhoek on the B1 tar road to Windhoek and less than 15 minutes’ drive from the traffic circle.

Monteiro lies in a beautiful setting in the Auas Mountains surrounded by nature with wonderful views to the nearby hills and peaks. Opened in 2005, Monteiro offers guests a choice of accommodation: Guest rooms, Guest house, Campsites and Safari Tents.

The guest rooms (self-catering) are each equipped with a double bed and two bunk beds.

These rooms have full, spacious en-suite amenities with a bath and a shower in the one guest room and a shower only in the other guest rooms.
There is a fridge, a microwave, a 2-plate stove/oven and a TV. Private braai facilities are also provided.

The guest house (self-catering) has three bedrooms, one bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, dining-room and lounge with its own private patio and braai facilities outside.

Some of the camping spots enjoy lovely, well maintained, grassy/shady sites. Each one of these campsites has electric lights, running water, power points and braai (barbeque) facilities, for which wood can be purchased. There is also a communal bush kitchen and hygienic ablution facilities.

The safari tents are equipped with the basic crockery, cutlery and an electric kettle, but no cooking utensils. We also supply the bedding (no towels) and every tent has its own braai facility.

Day visitors are welcome at Monteiro Self-Catering & Camping.

We can also provide you with a quote for the catering of your function.

A lovely swimming pool is available for all the guests. Laundry services provided on request. At our small kiosk we sell wood, firelighters, ice, cold cool drinks, chips, sweets, ice-cream, meat and other delicious bites.
